Dave first met Rosco McGlashan in 2010 in the earlier stages of Aussie Invader 5R development and brings his commercial acumen in project management and global strategy to the team.
Dave was raised in a small rural New Zealand (NZ) country town of 900 people, where he his passion for speed cars and boats began.
He built and raced his first go cart at a young age, taking on all-comers, winning, but skinned knees and elbows in the process.
His next-door neighbour ignited his love of cars, who owed a beautiful red metallic manual 1976 Torana with a fully worked 350 Chevy under the bonnet.
Professionally, Dave became a trade qualified engineer working in a diversity of environments and industries such as Rio Tinto’s New Zealand Aluminium Smelter.
After 16 Years as a tradesman he became an Area Manager for the largest mechanical engineering company in NZ.
In the 2005, he established his own mechanical engineering company and employed over 100 people. This engineering company completed many industrial plant projects, including winning the mechanical installation of the first 58 MW wind farm to go into the South Island of NZ.
Dave relocated to Perth, WA in 2009 to work on mining related projects, and then moved into Oil and Gas process plants.
As for personal projects, Dave built his own jet boat and competed in 1993 World Jet Boat Marathon.
In his spare time he also built an Aluminium Hardtop boat for his father for recreational fishing, being fast for its size.
