Shayne is currently the Principle of Strategic Leadership Consulting Group, a boutique consultancy focused on delivering business excellence and improved performance to organisations. Until recently he was the respected CEO of the City of Melville, one of Western Australia’s largest local governments, with an annual budget of $160 million, physical assets of over $1.2 billion and staff of over 765.
Shayne has over 47 years’ experience spanning both private and public sectors. He has extensive government, corporate and commercial knowledge, direct experience in managing large workforces, as well as board and director experience across the wide range of large and small businesses and has worked across many industry sectors.
Shayne is highly qualified, having achieved the following qualifications:
- Doctor of Philosophy – Management and Marketing. (UWA)
- Master of Commerce – Management. (Curtin University).
- Post Graduate Diploma – Management. (Curtin University).
- Bachelor of Business – Human Resource Management and Law. (Curtin University).
Rosco and Shayne go back some 45 years as they worked together as mechanics at SECWA. Shayne was brought in as a diesel GM specialist mechanic and Rosco was brought in as a automatic transmission specialist. They became great mates as both loved a laugh and have many stories to tell of the good things they got up to.
Rosco attended Shayne’s wedding some 41 years ago to his lifelong partner Adele and has two children, Brooke and Bianca. Shayne helped Rosco with his rocket motorbike and was pit crew for his Go Kart. Rosco still owes Shayne a pair of jeans after they got covered in liquid hydrogen peroxide, when the Kart was started, and on the first wash they became shorts – not mentioning the sores on his legs!!!
